Avid readers of Getaway Magazine will have seen The Africa Rally featured in both the June 2023, and more notably the July 2023 physical copies of the magazine where they were kind enough to publish a double page spread on the event. It all started back in 2022 though, with this initial digital article just as registration was opened.

When Tony van Tonder, 61, and his son, Anthony, 31, set off for the Africa Rally in July, they hoped to raise R25,000 for Simbonga Sanctuary and Warriors of Wildlife.
