The Africa Rally 2025
Three weeks of unbridled exploration, life changing experiences, and friends who will be with you for a lifetime. An epic party at the start, half way, and finish line, and plenty of opportunity for mischief in between.
That’s what happened on this SOLD OUT edition of The Africa Rally!
This year we’re pleased to announce our fabulous teams supported a total of 27 different causes, and raised over R800,000 on their behalf – a new Africa Rally Record, and then some!
We’re also please to announce our two winning teams – for The Challenger Route and for The Discovery Route.
The Winners of The Africa Rally 2025 (Challenger Route) were
Team Austin TEN-acious!
They were driving a 1935 Austin 10 – the oldest vehicle ever to enter The Africa Rally!
The Winners of The Africa Rally 2025 (Discovery Route) were
Team The 5th Beatle!
All the way from India, they were driving a 1960 VW Beetle!
There were a number of highly ridiculous additional vehicles to take part in The Africa Rally 2025, so we would like to take this opportunity to give a special nod of approval to Team Hectic Africa in a London Taxi, Team The Wayward Order of the Dusty Clutch in a Mercedes Stretch Limo, and Team The Sidecar Guys on a 500cc Royal Enfield & Sidecar.
…but finally!
The Golden Pineapple Award for The Africa Rally 2025 goes to Team Ewe Turn from Wales, driving a 1997 Land Rover Discovery…
…by the time they walked across the Finish Line they were affectionally known as Team Lion Bait, for having the dubious honour of being the first Africa Rally participants to ever (almost) be eaten by lions!
We always said safety not guaranteed in Africa – but luckily they took it on the chin, refused to give up, and for that along with many other reasons earned themselves the 2025 Golden Pineapple. Bloody well done lads!
Team sign up for this event is currently closed, and without the use of a very particular DeLorean you’ve unfortunately missed it!
