An Africa Rally “How To” Guide – The Tunduma Border
We’re back with another useful Africa Rally “How To” Guide, and this time we’ll be looking at the Tunduma Border crossing between Tanzania and Zambia.
Although not on the Africa Rally Challenger Route, it has been utilised by many teams taking the “short way” home after completing the Africa Rally in previous years. Given this, along with the mixed reviews, and stories of 7-8hour crossings, we felt we had to send our Advanced Research Team across to experience it for themselves.
As always, this guide is free to download and has been compiled following first hand, on the ground research by a member of the Africa Rally Team. It is valid as of December 2025.
